The Performance view gives educators a focused way to evaluate student achievement, identify instructional needs, and monitor progress across the MasteryPrep platform. It translates assessment data into actionable insights that support both classroom instruction and long-term academic planning.
What You’ll See
The Performance view is divided into Scores and Goals.
Scores
This section displays both Scale Scores and Raw Scores for students.
- Scale Score is a student's test score. It’s calculated by converting the raw score to a consistent scale, so you can easily compare results across different versions of a test.
- Raw Score is the number of questions a student answered correctly. It helps you see how they performed before the score was converted.
Click a student’s name to open their full performance details. Use filters at the top of the page to narrow results by class, group, test, or other categories.
Goals
This section helps you track progress toward performance targets. Depending on your role and permissions, you can create goals for the students you oversee, whether that’s a single class, a school, or an entire district. In addition, you can:
- Set score thresholds to define mastery levels.
- Assign performance goals for your students or schools.
- Monitor progress automatically as students complete assessments.
Goals and thresholds can be updated at any time.
Note: Teachers can set goals only for their classes. School and district administrators can set goals that apply across their respective schools or districts.
How to Use Performance View
Once you’re familiar with the layout, here’s how to start using the Performance view effectively.
- Access the View — Go to Insights > Performance.
- Review Scores — Select a test to review scale and raw scores. Use filters to focus on specific groups. Click on a student’s name for deeper insight into their performance.

Implementation Tips
- Use the Scores section to support data-driven conversations in leadership or parent meetings.
- Share Goals with students to encourage progress tracking and motivation.
- After each major assessment, compare performance data with usage data to understand effort versus outcome.
Summary
Performance view helps educators turn test results into action. By combining scores, item analysis, and goal-tracking in one place, it simplifies decision-making and supports student success across all levels.
